# Become a Meta Tech Provider

> Get your Meta app ready to onboard customers through embedded signup

Become a Meta Tech Provider when you want to offer WhatsApp Business Platform services to your own customers under your own Meta app.

Tech Providers can onboard customer WABAs through embedded signup and operate WhatsApp services for those customers. Kapso gives you the platform layer for this: customers, setup links, hosted embedded signup, connected numbers, message sending, inbox data, webhooks, and automation.

## Configure embedded signup first

Before applying, configure your app and Kapso setup links:

1. Create a [Meta app](/docs/platform/create-meta-app).
2. Configure [customer setup links with your own Meta app](/docs/platform/onboard-customers-own-meta-app).
3. Test setup with a customer or test business.
4. Send a message through the connected number.
5. Record a short demo of the setup and messaging flow.

## Submit Meta app review

In the Meta app dashboard, submit for advanced access.

Meta shows the review as a checklist. Complete each section before you submit.

### Verification

Start business verification from the App Review checklist or from **Business Settings > Security Center**.

### App settings

Complete the app settings Meta requires for review:

* app icon
* privacy policy URL
* app category
* primary contact

The privacy policy URL must be public and accessible to Meta's crawlers.

### Allowed usage

Meta asks how the app uses each requested permission or feature.

For `whatsapp_business_management`, explain that your product onboards business customers through embedded signup and manages their WhatsApp assets, such as phone numbers, templates, WABA setup, and webhook subscriptions.

For `whatsapp_business_messaging`, explain how your product sends WhatsApp messages for onboarded customers. Include a video showing:

1. a customer or test customer connected to your product
2. a WhatsApp message sent from your product
3. the message received in WhatsApp

You can use Kapso for the demo: connect a test number, send a message through Kapso or the API, and show the result in WhatsApp.

For `public_profile`, explain that it is used as part of Facebook Login for Business during embedded signup.

Meta can also ask you to confirm required API test calls and agree to the allowed usage terms for each permission.

### Data handling

Answer the data handling questions for the entity responsible for the app.

Meta may ask whether you have provided personal data to public authorities in response to national security requests, and which policies or processes you have in place for those requests.

These answers should match your company's actual legal, security, and data handling practices. If you are unsure, ask the person responsible for privacy or security at your company before submitting.

If Meta asks for service providers, include **Kapso**. Describe Kapso as the service provider used for hosted setup links, embedded signup completion, WhatsApp API operations, webhooks, message sending, and operational logs.

### Reviewer instructions and service providers

Use reviewer instructions to make the review easy to reproduce. Include:

* a test account or test customer
* the exact setup link or product path the reviewer should use
* steps to complete embedded signup
* steps to send or trigger a WhatsApp message
* where the reviewer should see the connected `phone_number_id` or resulting message
* a screencast that shows the end-to-end flow
