The recommended way to connect WhatsApp to Kapso
This is the recommended method for connecting WhatsApp to Kapso. It provides a seamless onboarding experience through Meta’s embedded signup flow.
What is embedded signup?
Embedded signup allows you to connect your WhatsApp Business account to Kapso directly through our platform, without needing to navigate Meta’s complex developer portals. The entire setup process happens within Kapso using Meta’s official embedded forms.

The embedded signup process
Start connection
Click “Connect WhatsApp” in your Kapso dashboard to begin the embedded signup flow.
Choose connection type
Select “Connect existing WhatsApp Business app” if you already use the WhatsApp Business app, or create a new business profile.
Enter phone number
Provide the phone number associated with your WhatsApp Business account.
Scan QR code
A QR code will appear. Open your WhatsApp Business app and scan it to authorize the connection.
Choose data sharing
Decide whether to sync your existing message history (up to 6 months) to Kapso.
Complete setup
Review permissions and complete the onboarding. Your WhatsApp is now connected to Kapso!
What happens after connection
Once connected through embedded signup:
- Automatic webhook configuration: Kapso automatically receives all incoming messages
- Message mirroring: Messages sent from either Kapso or WhatsApp Business app appear in both places
- Seamless agent integration: Your Kapso agents can immediately start handling WhatsApp conversations
Some WhatsApp Business app features are not available when connected to Cloud API:
- Group chats
- Voice and video calls
- Disappearing messages
- Status updates
These limitations are set by Meta, not Kapso.
Requirements
To use embedded signup, you need:
- An active Kapso account
- A phone number not already connected to WhatsApp Business API
- WhatsApp Business app version 2.24.17 or higher (if connecting existing account)
Alternative setup method
If embedded signup isn’t available in your region or you need more control over the configuration:
Manual setup
Configure WhatsApp manually using Meta Developer Portal credentials
